内容简介:Tissue engineering has approved for their capability of replacing or reconstructing diseased or traumatic tissues/organs by providing the living substitutes. During tissue regeneration, the scaffold, as a temporary substrate for cells to attach, spread and proliferate, plays an essential role in guiding tissue regeneration. Ideally, tissue-engineering scaffolds should maximally recapture the physicochemical properties of native tissues. The establishment of a variety of new fabrication technologies such as electrospinning and three-dimensional printing offers us versatile capabilities of incorporating the hierarchical and complex features of native extracellular matrix (ECM), especially on a micro/nanoscale, into scaffold design. This talk will first summarize the recent scaffold fabrication technologies developed in our lab and then elaborate their potential utility in fabrication of multiscale biomimetic scaffolds to regulate the cellular responses and tissue formation.
