On the afternoon of April 19th, Dr. Jaakko Hallila, President of Seinajoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK), Finland, visited BIPT. President Luo Xueke met Mr. Hallila, accompanied by Ding Fuchen, Assistant Vice President and Director of Foreign Affairs Office. The two sides held a discussion and exchange on the cooperation between the two colleges. Representatives from the School of Economics and Management, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the School of Information Engineering and Foreign Affairs Office attended the meeting.

President Luo first welcomed President his visit and briefly introduced the basic situation and educational philosophy of BIPT. He said that our college and SeAMK share similar educational philosophies and development visions, and share common disciplines and professional fields. He hoped that the two sides can cooperate with each other based on this meeting and received good achievements.

President Hallila also introduced SeAMK, a member of the Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS), which is committed to serving the needs of regional economic and social development, focuses on the development of students' practical ability, adheres to the extensive and close cooperation with enterprises, and promotes the integration of college teaching with enterprise practice. President Hallila also looked forward to cooperating with our college.

The participants gave brief introductions about relevant schools and had extensive and in-depth exchanges on academic cooperation, faculty and student visits, so as to promote exchanges and mutual learning between the two colleges and to expand internationalization.

After the meeting, President Hallila visited the campus accompanied by our staff. First, he knew the general picture of the campus through the sand table model, and then he walked around the campus to see facilities and cultural landscape on campus. During the visits, President Hallila was deeply impressed by the library including the total environment, resources, advanced equipment, management style, services and so on. Moreover, he showed a strong interest in the "2022 Undergraduate Research Project" (URT for short) displayed in the Comprehensive Experimental Building.

Finally, President Hallila visited the teaching practice base of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, such as the Beer Tasting Laboratory, the Wine Tasting Laboratory, Qingyuan Theater, etc. He tasted the beer brewed in the laboratory as well. During the conversation, he strongly appreciated the teaching and research facilities and the development of our college.

   This visit lays a foundation for further cooperation between SeAMK and our college.
