On September 10, BIPT welcomed 552 new graduate students in the 2026 cohort to its Daxing Campus. Chen Gang, Secretary of the CPC BIPT Committee, President Xiao Zhisong and other university leaders visited the registration site, spoke with new students and their parents, and asked about enrollment procedures and their adjustment to campus life.

Departments, schools and student volunteers worked together to provide support throughout the registration. Four themed exhibition areas were set up for new students to do interactive photo activities and the university provided them souvenirs. University leaders also presented certificates to student representatives recognized in the “My Catalyst for Scientific Research” creative writing competition.

On September 11, BIPT held its opening ceremony for new graduate students in Qingyuan Lecture Hall on Daxing Campus. The ceremony was presided over by Vice President Fu Hongbing. During the ceremony, Chen Gang presented school badges and books to students and encouraged new students to deepen their professional knowledge, cultivate integrity, becoming responsible young people with strong practical capabilities in the new era.

President Xiao Zhisong delivered the first lecture of the new academic year. He encouraged students to go deep, think broadly and find joy in research, urging them to set long-term academic goals, and pursue innovation through integration.

The ceremony also included an awards presentation for new graduate student scholarship recipients. More than 500 people, including university leaders, heads of departments and schools, faculty representatives, new graduate students, current graduate students and alumni representatives attended the ceremony.
