On the morning of December 14, the delegation from Institut Polytechnique UniLaSalle,France visited BIPT. Prof. Luo Xueke, President of BIPT, met with the delegation. The two sides held talks on deepening cooperation and strengthening joint application for the European Union international projects in energy and other related fields. Zhang Shenghong, Director of Science and Technology Office, Huang Jianping, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Office and Deputy Dean of International Education School, Liu Yu, Deputy Dean of the School of Information Engineering and Liu Qiang, Deputy Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering attended the meeting.

The visiting delegation included Mr.  FORTIN, President of UniLaSalle, Mr. Augustin MPANDA, Project Coordinator of Scientific Research and English Program and Ms. Cecile WU, Project Coordinator of Chinese Project.

Prof. Luo Xueke expressed a warm welcome to the delegation. He gave a basic introduction of BIPT's history, majors, students and teachers, and said that BIPT was in the stage of high-quality development, actively promoting the integrations of enterprises and education, and science and education. We have carried out the integration of enterprises and education in the fields of energy, artificial intelligence, big data and so on. He pointed out that there is a solid foundation of cooperation between BIPT and UniLaSalle for many years, and the two sides have scientific research teams in mechanical engineering, electronic and electrical engineering, information technology, new materials, energy applications and other aspects. It is expected that the two sides will jointly apply for the European Union International Cooperation Fund in deepening energy utilization, carry out broader and deeper cooperation in more areas, and cultivate more talents contributing to the development of the world together.

President  FORTIN said that during the visit, the exchanges between the two sides were deep and fruitful. He hoped that the two sides would expand the program format and encourage the two-way flow of Chinese and French students. He also looked forward to strengthening the scientific research cooperation between the two universities on the existing cooperation. Meanwhile, Mr. Augustin MPANDA hoped that there will be more and more students participating in their research projects in the future, and the two sides could continue to make more innovations in the cooperative programs.

At the end of the talks, the presidents of both sides renewed the cooperation agreement between the two universities in a friendly atmosphere.

After that, the delegation, accompanied by Huang Jianping, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Office visited the micro campus model, the optomechanical key laboratory and the library.

Through the visit and talks, the two universities reached consensus in educational exchanges, talent training, scientific research cooperation and other aspects, and the two sides indicated that they will continue to carry out more extensive and in-depth cooperation in the future.
