The institute also attaches great importance to its combination of with research while emphasizing teaching.In the past three years,it has assumed nearly one hundred projects of province and ministry-level or large enterprises,and many national ones sponsored by National Fund of Natural Science,National 863 Program of High-tech and National 973 Program of High-tech.     A series of new equipments and products including none-orbit all-location intelligent welding robot for spherical tanks,synthetical Phantolid mask,rubber injection molding machine have been developed which take the lead in its kind respectively.In resent years the research funds have been increasing widely,Approaching 10 million RMB yuan a year in 2002.     The number of provincial and institutional projects witnesses an annual increase of 20%,and now the research funds amount to over 25,000,000 RBM yuan.In October ,2002,the industrialization signature ceremony of jointing robots developed by the National 863 Program which Professor Jiang Lipei took charge of was held in our institute.During recent years,the institute has claimed more than 30 patents,20 of which gained national patent and many of which have been acknowledged by experts to have generalizing and applicable values.400 to 500 papers are issued in publications annually, 70% of which are published in core periodicals. The institute ranks from 150 to 200 among civil colleges and universities in SCI,EI embodiment. In 2001,it ranked 246 101 respectively.In terms of papers published in China Scientific Paper Resource, the institute ranked 224 among national colleges.
