关于举办“开拓教学理念,提高教学效果”教学工作坊的通知

为进一步促进我校教师课堂教学的科学化、规范化和有效化,提升授课水平,教师发展中心将举行教学工作坊系列活动。教学工作坊将通过教学研讨会、示范课观摩、教学案例分析等工作项目,引导教师发展教学技能,助推教师追求卓越教学。现将教学工作坊第1期活动通知如下:

    一、工作坊主题与内容

主题:开拓教学理念,提高教学效果

主要内容:通过帮助教师回顾和拓展教学理念,以工作坊的形式,提供一个探讨与反省式学习的机会。参加这次讲座后,教师们将掌握以下内容:

    1.一名好教师有哪些关键因素;

    2.一个善于学习的人具有哪些特征;

    3.建立一个合适的学习环境有哪些因素;

    4.何为教学理念;

    5.我们自己的教学理念是什么;

6.如何持续提供我们的教学效果与教学水平。 

二、工作坊主讲嘉宾

    格里菲斯大学Michael Berry博士。Michael Berry目前在格里菲斯大学商学院从事学术发展与课程咨询工作。他曾在澳大利亚多所高校从事学术发展工作,为高校教师的学术发展与教学提供咨询。

    三、工作坊时间、地点

    时间:1019日(星期一)上午10:0012:00

地点:16#A座五层三号报告厅(行政楼第七会议室)   

四、参加人员与报名办法

    参加人员:2015年新入校教师、各学科专任教师。由于工作坊活动性质,本次工作坊接纳报名的总人数为45人。除2015年新入校教师外,接纳其他教师报名20人。先到先得,希望感兴趣的老师尽早报名,但一经报名务必参加活动。

附件2工作坊内容及主讲人简介

Developing your Teaching Philosophy to improve teaching performance

 

Michael Berry

Curriculum Consultant & Academic Developer

Griffith University

2015

 

This presentation will focus on helping lecturers to reflect upon and develop their teaching philosophy, which is essential in their growth towards a reflective and mature practitioner.

 

Rather than being a lecture, it will be an interactive workshop, providing an opportunity for discussion and reflective learning.

 

(The workshop room should have tables arranged in groups of four. Allowing for groups of between 4-6 lecturers to work together. Ideally it should have between 20-45 participants)

 

Learning outcomes

By the end of the workshop we will have explored and developed deeper understanding of the following questions:

·what does it take to be a good teacher (key characteristics)

·What it takes to be a good learner?

·What is takes to establish the right learning environment or conditions?

·What a teaching philosophy is?

·What our own teaching philosophy is? (and others)

·And how we can continue to improve our teaching style and philosophy

 

Brief Biographical information

Michael Berry currently works as an Academic Developer and Curriculum Consultant within the Business Faculty of the Griffith University. He has taught in several Universities in Australia and worked as an academic developer in both the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and Griffith University (GU) supporting the development of both senior academic staff and early career lecturers. He has diverse curriculum interests with qualifications in both primary and adult education including a Masters of adult education from the University of Technology (Sydney).
